IMPORTANT: Effective January 1, 2013, your 2012 California and federal employment notices posters are out of compliance.
NEW 2013 UPDATES & MANDATORY UPDATES:
•Updates to the Discrimination and Harassment notice
•Updates to the Family & Medical Leave notice
•Updates to the Employee Polygraph Protection Act notice
•Implementation of workers’ compensation reform measures will also begin in 2013. As a result, there are potential mandatory changes to the Workers’ Compensation notice and pamphlet regarding employees’ rights and benefits and employer obligations.
No matter how many employees you have in California, your business is required by law to post a current California and Federal Employment Poster in a central location. The poster must also include information about your workers’ comp benefits, pay day schedule and emergency contacts. You may need to order several to ensure that your business, branches, and satellite offices are displaying the poster according to the law. You can purchase all 16 required California and federal notices, including the mandatory updated Discrimination and Harassment notice, Family & Medical Leave notice, and others; in a 26” x 39.75” laminated poster—one good price, for one complete poster! A Spanish version may be required if any of your employees are Spanish-speaking, and is also available for purchase at our Chamber as well.
